Default LSVW - lifting on hoist, and other stuff.

Has anyone had an LSVW up on a hoist?

I know I have to build riser extensions for my hoist arms as too many things hang well below the frame. The after cab section of the frame is accessible for hoisting purposes, but there are obstructions for getting to the more forward section of the frame, the most obvious being the guard for the transmission and transfer case. It is removable for sure, but just wondering if there is something I may be missing, or a safe shortcut.

Thanks
