Promite is another Aussie yeast extract spread, and rather nice, a sweeter flavour.

I find Marmite a bit to strong. To keep up the Vegemite trail, try a smear on your ham sandwiches instead of mustard, very tasty.

Will have to see if there's any PROMITE around to do a comparison tastetest

Hey ... for anyone that enjoys that Yeast taste and the B vitamins blast that are so good for us ... you might want to try ENGEVITA YEAST ... its a cooking/whatever yeast., pale orangey/yellow in colour, I sprinkle it on popcorn and can't get enough of it! I also sometimes sprinkle it on bread and thick butter YUM ... CATS GO CRAZY FOR IT!!!! Even better than CatNip for them i think

Engevita is most likely to be found in a health food place or section of a grocery store ...
