Gents, consider if you will, the millions upon millions of litres of fresh water that flow out of Canada's rivers everyday. Wasted as it mixes into three salty oceans.

What does most of the muslim (and a majority of the rest of the) world desperately need ? I'll bet that more clean water is near the top of their lists. And amazingly enough, they seem to have LOTS of oil/gas to trade for it. Even our southern neighbour, the good old USofA wants it.

So just what is Canda doing to harvest this wonderful, clean, constantly replenished, natural resourse ? And think of all of the jobs that would go with it ! Just what you would expect from Ottawa (no matter which party is in power), NOTHING AT ALL !

Yes, I realize that fresh water harvesting needs to be done with some care to protect salmon and other marine estuary wildlife etc. but where else in the world would people just let such "liquid gold" run away down the drains ?

Except for dumping our waste into rivers upstream so that other Canadians can draw out their own drinking water, further downstream. "Only in Canada" ... as the saying goes.
