Thank you Hanno,
I have Vol. 2 of Bill Greggs series. He says "The body type code is too complicated and inconsistent to be listed here". I was hoping that someone would either know where to find the fulll listing or be able to fill in some of the gaps. For example, was there ever a 2D1, was it only an idea, a prototype or a production model?

Default Wheel Wrench

Should fit lug nuts and the wheel nuts, some that I have seen are painted white on one end lug nut, other painted red which is the outer wheel nuts. Impossible to confuse as they are obviously different size.

Don’t think that lug wrench will fit the Jeep in the back ground.

Default Yes wheel wrench is probably orginal

Hi Eric

Yes from the picture I would say that it is original. It matches the pictures of seen of the CMP tool kits and it matches the one that was in the tool kit for my HUP.

Cheers Phil

Default Earlier Thread On Tool Kits

I've got pictures that I will try and find but here is an earlier thread on tool kits which has similar if not the same photos that I have http://orbit.dnsrouter.com/~mlu/foru...ight=tool+kits

I'll keep looking to see if we can't expand this listing

Hi Eric

Picture you found is of the round hatch on my HUP. See http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.com/ http://www.canadianmilitarypattern.com/Posting.html

The little L shape tabs are to keep rain water from being driven up under the canvas hatch and dribble through the two holes for the hatches draw strap.

I don't know what the other bracket toward the front.

Cheers Phil

Default You should have regrets.....

HI Eric

The two brackets you removed should have been left there..... they are part of the brackets that holds the tarp cover inplace when you remove it. You should be able to mig weld them in place without too much trouble

I am not sure about the other holes...... the one with 3 bolts could be for a snorkel running to the top of the engine cover...... do you have a picture fo the top of your engine cover....?? these were very late conversions and very few actually exists..... you may have a missmatched top or engine cover.

The other hole with 6 bolts may have been for an radio antenna base.... it looks the right size.......again not a common conversion..... maybe one of a kind field modification.
