As for your CF, there are fellows who will run the number through the current maintenance database. I got other parts of the same information from a $5 Access to Information request to the gub'mint.
The pamphlet provides some production numbers along with prices that were previously not all available under one roof. I enjoyed the booklet, but as with so many of Service pub's books, it leaves me with hunger for a lot more information. It's kind of like that little bag of mixed nuts you get on the WestJet flights...their great, but after you finish the little bag there isn't any more.

I guess one has to consider the small size of our military acquisitions in the first place. If there was even one book printed for every M38 and M38A1 sold by Canada, it would only amount to a couple thousand. Hardly the sales potential to justify the publishing of a weighty hardcover tome. I think that the best any collector of Cdn miitaria can hope for (generally) is perhaps a chapter or two in books on subjects encompassing more than just Canada.

Old Lithgow: I will try and remember to look up some of the history on your jeep tomorrow. It should lead you to the unit that held it. Often they will have regimental museums or photo collections you can browse through to find your particular vehicle.
