The Weapons of War books would not survive if they were aimed at milveh owners as the market just isn't there. However, they sell like hotcakes in hobby shops and museums where, it is hoped, they will provide some insight to young Canadians on Canada's military history. Of course the small format and low price point ($9.95) make these attractive as impulse items.
However, even in their small size they each run between 6,000 and 6,500 words of original, researched, text and 20-22 photos, many of which have not been previously published.
I do have plans to publish a big book on Canadian jeeps, as well as one on softskins and a big book on the Ram. Hopefully one (or all) of these will keep you busy on those winter nights when it is just too cold to go and cuddle with your milveh.

As always, I look forward to more offerings from servicepub.

I managed to pick up the pub on the armoured train while I was at the CWM a few weeks ago. I gave it a second read last night. There are literally hundreds upon hundreds of various military vehicles and aircraft in this camp, but those little Canadian pamphlets are more interesting.

My nine months finish next week and I return to Canada in time for Winter (talk about lousy planning!)
Upon my return I will be sending the following four WOW titles to the printers; the Ferret, the 17-pdr, Early Armour and the 3/4 ton SMP. So pay off your credit cards and be prepared to order.
Soon after I will be printing a 200-page book on the First Special Service Force and I hope to get my motorcycle book finished.

Default KAF Vehicles

I was in KAF in July and DND is using some pretty nice kit. The old SMPs and CMPs were nice, but in 30 years people will be posting requests for images of G Wagons and LAVs.

I don't miss the stench of the poo pond though.

Woe is the occasion when this should happen! Not even the frigid Ottawa winter keeps me away from the cold embrace of my Metal Mistress. However, I will savour my ServicePub books whilst keeping the wife company when she insists on us watching some inane chick flick...Put me down for the 3/4 Ton booklet, Clive.

Your return to the Hammond Barn is anticipated with some vigour. We await tales of derring-do and perhaps a voo-doo demonstration. On the practical side, there is some maintenance that needs to be done to your shelter - you could use a floor (buy a tarp) and the shelter fabric needs to be replaced or tarped (get two 12X20 or larger tarps).

Take care.

Default Tarp size.......

Hope to see you soon Clive.....

Roof tarp for the shelter needs to be minimum.......24 feet (critical for length of shelter) x 20 to 30 feet to reach from side/roof/side and some cheap yellow 1/4 inch rope.....100 feet minimum....

See you soon.
