I can't speak for how accurate the current series of Sea Patrol (shot of the Armidale class patrol boat)http://www.navy.gov.au/HMAS_Armidale but the earlier series shot on the Fremantle class patrol boats was fairly true to life. The only criticism I have (and this is typical of a television programme) was that they saw more action and adventure in one episode than I did in the 5 1/2 years that I served onboard HMAS Geelong http://www.navy.gov.au/HMAS_Geelong
