The constant flooding of the little creek behind my house this year has finally damaged a stacked rock wall that held a road in place for log trucks to cross the creek when timber was taken from the property during WWII.

Exclamation Bloody Rain

Meanwhile in Ganmain... Over the last 5 days we have received half of our annual rainfall! (Over 11 inches!)
Up until February 2012, Boggy Creek has flooded 3 times in my lifetime.
Now, four days into March, it has flooded a total of SIX times!
Many homes and a few businesses inundated including the local historical society. Thankfully we were able to remove the majority of the Historical Societies valuables before the banks broke the first time last Tuesday.
Also, everyone is safe and no serious injuries have been reported.
Boggy Creek Before & During...

Also have a look at This Video by the local news service was taken before the major flood of last night.
I know most of Eastern Australia is copping a hiding from the rain at the moment, Here's hoping everyone is OK.
How's the flooding around the rest of the country, Lads?

Water has receaded here in Gympie although the Mary River is still higher then normal from last weekends flood. Only moderate this time at about 17.5metres thank goodness. Got more rain coming in now which is part of the belt giving New South Wales and Victoria a bit more then they can handle.

Keep the chin up you southern guys because if you don't you will probably suck water

of course if you want to shift all those CMP's and MCP's up here to dry out quicker I can make room honest

Default Wind and Rain

231 ml in seven days, about a quarter of our average annual rainfall.
But it was the wind coming from a unusual direction that did the damage

Default Whoops

Should have kept my mouth shut about rain moving away.

News reports here now indicate expected rainfall of >150mm in next 24 hours.

Here we go again. Poor bastards in lower businesses near Gympies main street have only just unpacked their trailers/trucks/containers that were loaded Saturday last week, when their properties were flooded to shallow depth.

This getting monotonous.

Tomorrow, I start building an ark. Painted flat green, of course!

P.S: Robert, about that barn............Jeezus!!!!!!
