Came across this image recently. Note the white-painted details includingh the rear marker light and the hand grabs. The photo was taken in the immediate post-war era and the Jeep is from the Canadian Army Film & Photo Unit. The Jeep in the background has used a white tarp on the cowl to protect against scratches from the camera's tripod.

I think I have seen that before - but with 4 to 6 vehicles, at least one more jeep and a HUP, all were variously modified. I'm fairly sure that I saw it on MLU but cant find it at the moment.

Hi Clive,
Any idea why they went to so much trouble detailing the parts of the first jeep?Also the white pattern of the front grill. Interesting,Derk.
