Thanks for all of the comments. This has been a real learning experience for me and there still are hundreds of little tasks left to do. Like everything else, if I could do it all again, there are a few things i'd have done differently, but yes Phil, it was all smiles when I took it around the block today. Everything was working very well. Diffs were quiet, Tranny didn't chirp between shifts, Engine was smooth and peppy. All the time going though the mechanicals was worth it.
Here is a pic of exactly how it sat when I bought it: Here it is today sitting with my buddy Ryans M38: Again, its not finished yet. Still need to finish painting the Cam Pattern, add the C/S and some Decals along with a bunch of small tasks. Also need some Windscreen Glass ![]() Although it doesn't come close to some of the 151 restos i've seen from the US, my goal was to make this as correctly "Canadian" as possible. I hope I have achieved this. Scotty |

I just crossed Scott driving on base. Nice to see the Mutt running, sounded pretty good as I drove by!

Just great - the whole restoration is truly inspiring. We don't see many Mutts in Australia and seeing one in its Canadian config is great! Well done!!! As an aside - the M38 - another great looking resto, what theatre for the desert liveried Canadian configuration (can see the maple leaf) is that - guessing Aden or somewhere in the 1950s middle east? Looks great too...
