Scott:My, how the provinces differ in their treatment of plating HVs.I pay $118.00 insurance per year with absolutely no restrictions except you must have at least one other validly plated vehicle registered to you, and you don't drive the HV to and from work.

Looking forward to the UPS guy rolling into the driveway.

I'm close enough to Meaford ATC to pick up Range Control on 49.9 on the RT 524A.

Regards

OK, although it hasn't gone to UPS, it is in a labelled box now. I really need a personal assistant

Well, i'm going to call this thing finished for now.

There are a few things I am going to work on or procure over the coming months:
Semi-Gloss OD Paint on the underside of the Hood,
Ziebart Body Plugs & Decal for Dash,
New Canvas Seat Cushions,
Restore the Radios.

I finally had the four patches of 503-321 Olive Drab painted on. As mentioned before, I knowingly inverted the Greens in the Cam Pattern. This was original paint in a can dated from 1993. Despite a thorough shaking, mixing, use of a quality reducer, and a bit of Flattener added, it still came out looking almost Satin. That being said, the more sun it gets, the more it seems to be flattening out.

Added a few more details to the dash etc. Since the Jeep was basically rebuilt, I put in a fresh Speedo, so I put an "Add On" decal on the dash to denote the previous mileage, as well as a "Unit Servicing Recorder" for the dates and mileages for future fluid changes etc:

Also discovered a cheap easy way to secure Radios to the Power Trays by drilling a small hole through a clamp and rib on the MT-1029, and then installing a Padlock so clamp cannot be unscrewed:

Default ever say good bye to an old friend.......

...only to be reunited ?? today i got the chance to hang with Scotty, Bill, and met Jason Meade and Darrell Zinck for the first time. as i was standing in the parking lot at the Oromocto mall and suddenly (imho) the best M151a2 in the country appears (my old friend) . the pictures posted in this thread of the finished product don't do it justice..not by a long shot!! i've seen lots of great looking mv's, but scotty has really outdone himself!!! when i had it forsale there were people trying to buy it to make it into a swamp buggy. i refused to sell it to them because i wanted it to go to a person that would treat it weth the care it deserved....today proves that i was right...and that doesn't happen too often..just ask my wife!!!
