Hi Stew My normal twisted CMP thoughts are now overshadowed by banned greasy food !!!! ...but I agree with you.... that truck fully restored.... maybe with a modern hemi engine for cruising the car shows ..... would be awesome !!! I really need to rob a few banks and live for another century ....... ....or see a psy-ky-artist. Bob

Are you 100% sure it's not a military vehicle?
I found this picture at the IWM collection... Very similar modification... |

Just at a glance;
eight lug, non-British pattern wheels no tow hooks civilian front bumper I'd guess that must have been one of the first chassis / cowls made post WW2 then, as that model went out in 1947. Gordon

As I understand it all the T110L were delivered as cargo body or dump bed. There were variations in chassis length, single or dual wheel, single or two speed rear axle, stuff like that.
No water tankers, van bodies, ambulances, or other variants. I don't even recall post war conversions. Of course the army might have swapped any suitable 3 ton truck body onto that chassis, and probably did, but I've never seen evidence of it being done once, much less any real quantity. Anyone know to the contrary?
