I used to drive ( while in the CF) a 1967 dated 106 Jeep..what a pain sometimes with that 590 lbs gun on it.

All of the 106 jeeps in Manitoba were 1970/71 vintage. I recovered many of the back panels from the scrapyard for people who were trying to convert them back to normal jeeps in civilian life. Especially the windshields. Something about having a big gap in your windshield here in Manitoba does not appeal to most people.

Default 106 jeep

Hi Craig, saw a listing for the #'s of 53 A1's that were 106 and the list was less than 20 vehicles , also one of my CF manuals show them prior to 1959, the largest number were cdn2&3 vehicles, if this vehicle is part of the original batch that would make this jeep a rare bird, guns can be had from Brent Mullins for a price,
regards Frank

Try importing a 106mm into Canada... even if it is cut up.

I don't have the stats on the 53's, but according to the EDR, there were 10 x CDN2s and 62 x CDN3 106mm RR Carriers.
