How times have changed. That a divisional commander (or any soldier for that matter) should be in front line battle with a softskin vehicle is abhorrent. In it's defense though, the 5/4 ton chevs usually sported so many layers of bondo, especially on the cargo boxes, that they would likely stop small arms fire.
