And as Gordon points out, the earlier Dodges never had the pressings in the firewall for the mounting of the box.

Hello gentlemen.
Thanks for your answers and help. It has possitively identified as a GMC toolbox / Dodge spare parts box.

Allthough it isn't mine, I've been informed it will be for sale soon (The Netherlands) as it isn't what the owner thought it would be

If anybody is interested I will bring you in contact with the owner.
