The Aussie Short 25pdr was suppose to be for ease of transport, hence less weight/size. I'm unaware of a specific shell for this gun, though plotting equipment was put out with 25 and 25 short variants.
I think Jack may be closer to target. Maybe for shorter distances... sorry bad, very bad.
