The above photos show the ones I bought several years ago. Compare to yours.
They had that the extra bit, but were easily removed. I just undid the retaining nut on the wiper post and removed 2x short bolts, one each end if the metal strip.
I dont see the bolts on yours. What IS holding those strips on. Rivets? Pressed on?
That is a big help thank you yes my truck a ford and there nothing there there is what i thort a sender unit on the carb but yesterday was told it for the pipe to wiper motors

The main difference;Erics ones mount on the bar, while Tony's mounts on the spindle housing.
I think Eric's are the Std. QMS (US) as found on later WWII Dodge etc.
I have a pair of Canadian Ford ones Which I don't want to open.
Part number looks like CO10 17505 Maybe Brian can confirm?
