Doesn't that extra strip of metal come off if not wanted? The above photos show the ones I bought several years ago. Compare to yours. They had that the extra bit, but were easily removed. I just undid the retaining nut on the wiper post and removed 2x short bolts, one each end if the metal strip. I dont see the bolts on yours. What IS holding those strips on. Rivets? Pressed on?
