For an excellent video of a B17 in flight type in to google - Vimeo WW2 bombers over Arizona.
The video features aerial photography of a B17 and B25 Mitchell flying over the Superstition Mountains set to the theme music from John Adams.
Turn up the sound.

Perhaps somebody knows how to post a link?
