Just heading out the door for an interesting morning, getting into a B-17 Sentimental Journey flight out of Brandon Manitoba. Outfitted in RCAF WW2 crew kit, the American crew should get a kick out of it. Cheers Rob

Beautiful clear quiet sunny morning, we got into the B-17 at 9:15 AM for a 25 minute flight. All passengers were very excited about the flight, and the B-17 crew were very professional about all of the safety scenarios involved with the flight . Having been in a B-17 before, the EAA Aluminum Overcast, I was kind of comparing the 2 separate flights . We bought seats today for the back, but were not allowed access thru the bomb bay/catwalk to the front. The people who paid the big money for the nose position, had to stay there also. On the other hand , Aluminum Overcast offered full access to all positions including the left seat in the cockpit. Not one to complain, a huge thrill again.

For an excellent video of a B17 in flight type in to google - Vimeo WW2 bombers over Arizona.
The video features aerial photography of a B17 and B25 Mitchell flying over the Superstition Mountains set to the theme music from John Adams. Turn up the sound. Perhaps somebody knows how to post a link? David
