Lynn, the spacers are of different profile and dimensions, the Brit wheels seem to have the bronze plain bearing or the ball bearing type un gaged. Spacers are therefore different for a caged 6408 bearing found in a Canadian wheel. There are loads of threads on here about this. When I'm next rebuilding wheels will put up some pictures to explain to help everybody.
