Richard, Ive not heard of Samco here. I have bought a length of straight Mackay hose. I am waiting for the responses.

SAMCO do a lot of the Race Car kit here, protective clothing, equipment etc.
There is also Demon Tweeks and Earls Motorsport. They do the coloured silicone hoses but also a 'classis black' range. Have a look at your local 'Boy Racer' store or ask anyone who drives a 1.1 litre car with 4" exhaust and 20" alloy wheels on it!

Now I'm jealous!! Just don't dismiss them, they all do a classic range and if you can use a silicone hose that looks like original rubber, better wear, heat and manipulation properties, then why not.
Must cost a fortune to chrome plate all those rims!!
