Mystery bracket
I am trying to establish what this bracket may have come from, ignore what it is attached to, as I think it is a red herring.
It looks way to deliberate to me a hand made item, it looks as if it has been repurposed from another use. Anyone have any ideas?

Mystery Part
Rule out it coming from an M37. It looks familiar but I can't say from what....

To my untrained eye it looks like a bracket that say an alternator arm would lock off against in the slot., something that needs some wiggle room for want of a better technical description. Maybe Mr Love will see this and comment . . .
