Hi Lynn. That bracket is for the C1 SMG https://www.canadiansoldiers.com/weapons/smgs/c1smg.htm

And since the C1 is a Canadianised copy of the British Sterling SMG, it will work for that too. As well, it does a terrific job holding those old 3 and 4 battery maglights that were so popular back in the 80s and 90s.
