Hi Bruce
The window post you are talking about on 1942 Pattern 13 C60S were full and I mean full of sand, they were also rusted and bulged like you described. Only possible explanation for being full of sand I could thing of was that the truck had been swamped on a beach at some point. The truck had been heavily water proofed with cosmaleane (spelling). I cannot vouch for Chev windscreen frames but my Ford ones are flat on both sides. Or actually flat on outside but rounded on inside as shown. They do bulge when moisture collects under the spot welded seams causing severe rust which causes the bulge as shown in the attached example. It is the one I relegated to a roof holder. Cheers,
