Wireless set is either a Ack or Charlie set...... a obsolete set still in use by the looks of it , late 1930s.

Looks like a Morris C8 Portee ? A number of these (around 30) are found in the AWM 126 books (some were disposed to Lanes Motors Melbourne, the Morris dealers). A few survivors have been found here in Aust. but usually the Portee body is missing. Used to be one in Kilmore wreckers sitting upside down , the whole yard was scrapped. A friend had two of these but he decided to pass them onto somebody else, a NOS engine was found at Hughes yard, Coburg. The scene could be a Vichy French airfield in Syria ? Seems such a strange scenario, but Australians were fighting Vichy French troops in Syria.

Hello Mike, thanks for sharing these images. However, I am unsuccessful finding the back the photos in the AWM database at https://www.awm.gov.au/advanced-search.
E.g. when I enter 8385-AMWA49031 or parts thereof in the search engine I get no hits. Do you know how to fix this?
