Ford model numbers and known S/M numbers

This Illustrated Spare Parts List for the C298WFS as supplied on S/M 2972 turned up for sale in the Netherlands (not mine).

I spotted it as well, interesting book...and it sold quickly. I contacted the seller, but the book was already on it's way to the new owner; he did mention there was no picture of the complete vehicle on the first pages of the book.

Note the 1943 date - its seems the successor of the C29TFS came earlier than 1945.

I also presume the date is the date of the manual.....but what if the date is the date the order was released?? if so, there would still be more than a year between order and delivery.
