Are you talking about the large cover which is located in front of the steering column or about the smaller cover which bolts just in front of the division plate under the drivers seat?
Seems like everyone around here (except me, for now) has the larger cover, but the only one of the smaller ones I have ever seen is with my carrier. My hull is in the low 2000 range, so I thought that perhaps this was an item that was dropped later in production.

The bracket that is in the photo looks locally made. (and it does not resemble either linkage protector). The strap loops on the side are not like any I have ever seen on a carrier production piece.
