Does it look like this?

And like this in 1993?

This is the page Rick mentions.

Yes Keith, thats my old girl. What a shame to see it like that. The GMH badge is visable in the lower photo, below the door of the wooden box. This is M00040 ARN 142144 and apart from the winch on the gantry and the tailgate it was 99% complete when I sold it. ( It was a promise I made to the then other half, so I could go on the 1995 "Back to the Track". Should have kept it and done away with ----------. No, enuf of that, no use crying over spilt milk. )

Default Vehicle Return

Hi Rick - perhaps we should convince Dr. Who (no conception of date, time or travel distance)to return the truck. In this instance I would sanction a reverse border raid.

Rick, if you look at the pic I've attached in post 148, you will see that 38660M00040 is recorded as ARN 142233.

Default C60x

Hi Rick - spoke to Dr. Who today. Was surprised you hadn't asked yourself. Seems a bit reluctant but you never know. Says he'll see you at Corowa but I reckon earlier contact could work.

You right, Tony, I made a mistake. M00040 is the C60X at Yarrawonga Vic. Mine must be M00036. I got the photo's mixed up I guess. M00036 had GMH Cabin no 25 which is on a plate under the bonnet (hood). Found M00029 the other day about 200km away. Pretty sad. I'll post photo's later. thanks for the correction. Rick

Bob, I have spoken to Dr.Who previously to no avail. Maybe he's changing his mind. Will try again. Rick

Made another mistake, should have put M00021 not M00029 for the one I found the other day. There is an F60S there as wellwith an interesting brass plate above the dash. Rick

Just back from the collection run
No drama,s
That would be a first
Thankyou very much to bruce for his help
Thankyou very much to our own Tony Smith for the supply of a couple of tyres to suit .It was good to meet you .Just a pity I didnt have more time to have a look at the toy collection
The old c8 certainly is a rusty one but its saving grace is the worst of the rust is in the ancillary/bolt on components but im sure the generosity and knowledge of this forum and wider community will yield some replacement parts
