ARN 142*** are all for chassis numbers starting with M00***. These are for the C60X Armoured Car Chassis ordered by Australia but they didn't realize that there was no Armoured Car body plans available, so the majority were converted to Truck Breakdown No4 (Aust). Most of these had different wheels fitted with 7.50 x 20 tyres. I owned M00040.(See in OLDCMP.net for the story). It was complete, including the wooden tool box behind the cabin. This box had a brass plate saying "Made By General Motors Holden". The truck was used after the war for logging at Mt Alfred Vict. Australia with a jinker using the rear axle set from a DUKW. Fortunately for me, all the body that they removed, was still sitting around the property. Unfortunately I sold it in 1995 and after changing hands a few times, it is now rusting away at Rust-Hill in SA.(SA MLU members will know where I mean.)
