Well. RCMP Officer was just here looking for landlord and he updated me while here. The guy didn't survive ... he used a 22.

Which is why you didn't hear it... a .22 pressed to the head for a single shot would emit virtually no noise at all.

The RCMP guy basically mentioned something like that, and that he wasn't surprized I didn't notice the shot because it was a 22. I'd exclaimed that I was so blown away that I didn't hear/register something as loud as a gunshot in the house.
