My decode John is:
Body... -DUMP-4 so I assume that it was originally a dump truck? MODEL C60S ..not seen C60S-T before! I HAVE TO ADD that any in the UK were ready fodder post-war for the refurb companies as tippers were essential for post-war rebuilding when there were no, say, Bedfords available. CAB 13 ...third type closed cab with reverse-slope windshield 1944 model Chevrolet C60S sequential production number 9380, which is unique in my database! ENGINE # PR [right hand drive 216 cu in] number 4026485 CONTRACT C.D.L.V. 3525 so a late war one! DATE: Assembled in Oshawa March 20th 1945 Very interesting indeed! I have no data on any other C60S lorries as late as this. Last edited by David_Hayward (RIP); 01-05-08 at 15:08. |
