Triggered by a C8A-based fire truck coming up for sale again, here are more photos of CMPs converted to fire trucks after WW2.
The coach builder De Jong based in the town of Sleeuwijk converted a number of C8A into this sleek looking fire truck: brandweer-borculo-oude-brandweerwagens.jpg Source: https://www.fijnuit.nl/1504/brandwee...foto/6276#foto Here's another C8A-based truck (license NF-68-63): BrandweerGeertruidenberg.jpg BrandweerGeertruidenberg 2.jpg Source: https://brandweergeertruidenberg.nl/voertuigen/ And a C15A conversion (license RB-01-39/ BE-67-67): SHB-49.jpg Source: https://www.shbgoirle.nl/index.php/m...item/chevrolet

Hi Mariano, there was a shortage of headlamps as many trucks had one to begin with, others were missing or broken.
As there was hardly any supply of spares (all sent to Argentina to be stored away for deacdes ), they just used any available headlamps and made them fit.
