Major Luc-André Racine
I did indeed know Luc-André quite well as he was my counterpart posted permanently in Mali. His death has been a shock to all of us in MTAP and we join his family in grieving his far too early demise.
Luc-André was recently named to the Order of Mali (their equvalent to the Order of Canada) for his contributions to his host county. Luc-André and his wife Dany were deeply involved with the community they lived in, especially working with and raising funds for a local orphanage. I will be attending the funeral in his home town of Scott Jonction in the Beauce region of Québec this week. Ubique!  Mike
