Default Hi 39'ers

I would like to know if there are any 39'ers out there that remember the Reno del Pacifico? Here is a photo of the original menu for Christmas day. The 48th left the CNE rail siding December 13, 1939 and arrived at Greenich Scotland Dec. 30th. Packed on board ship like cattle. Very high seas most of the trip. Sea sick the entire voyage so unable to partake of the ships fine foods.
although many wars ago I am sure a few old vets may be alive and kicking.
