Colin i have to ask this, and i am sorry if you have mentioned it before........ Are you a sheet metal fabricator by trade ? or is this just a great skill you have ?
I will no doubt be seeking advice from you when i start the mamoth task of replacing all the missing steel from the Fergus Carrier. Richie PS loving the fish !!! i bet he was really made up |

Hi Richard, I do work in the metal industry but not as a sheet metal worker, more steel fabrication.
The best advice I can give you for your steelwork is do one section at a time and complete it. If you try and do everything at once it can become a bit overwhelming. Colin. Last edited by colin jones; 01-01-09 at 03:54. |

Back again, fits very well and it is now fully welded. Time to start fabrication of the cannon mount. A bit more intricate and very precise part of this resto.

Hi All, started the mechanno base for the cannon. This is just the start and it is about 8-9 hours for these parts.
