Hi Richard, I do work in the metal industry but not as a sheet metal worker, more steel fabrication.
The best advice I can give you for your steelwork is do one section at a time and complete it. If you try and do everything at once it can become a bit overwhelming.

Back again, fits very well and it is now fully welded. Time to start fabrication of the cannon mount. A bit more intricate and very precise part of this resto.

Hi All, started the mechanno base for the cannon. This is just the start and it is about 8-9 hours for these parts.

Howdy all, cannon base is moving along slowly but as I said it is fairly intricate but I'm getting there. I had to bolt it together to see if it lined up. There is still heaps still to do.
