I was the one who found some of those pictures, or at least gave Hanno a partial explanation.

In my estimation, these Shermans were used well into the 1960's in Borden or Meaford as trainers. There were no or few M113's in the system until the mid 1960's, and I suggested some savvy Northwest Europe vet got them added to the training establishment to perpetuate those particular lessons learned.
