Default Replica Stacey

Hi Adam:

Robin Craig (who occassionally posts on this forum) is a talented welder who made a replica for us (www.calnan.com/swords).

As we couldn't get tapered tubing Robin used square, however, cut on a bias and welded up they sure look good! You will need to find the springs and hook from a wrecked CMP.

I will try to find some photos for you so you can see for yourself.

Mike

Thanks Mike

That would be great. You may remember me I sold you the small russian (Finnish captured) cannon a few years ago, in Oakville.

Cheers
Adam

Hi , For a MkII the brackets were cast, The welded ones were usually made in the UK for fitting on existing MKI carriers.

Default Army News

Hi Adam!

Good to reconnect with you. We use the 45mm all the time in various events. It has become a major favourite of our local cadets as it is light enough for them to handle. Do you still have the M151?

Getting cast repros of the stacey attachment would be prohibitively expensive which is why we went the welded up replica route. As I promised, I'll dig up photos this weekend.

In the interim, take a look at the following websites on "Army News":

Default Good Coverage

Well done, Mikey. You should have posted the Army News links earlier. See you next Saturday.
