Not sure if any of you noticed or not but the last picture posted has a cover on the steering cam plate.

Ive heard rumours of this but never actualy seen a preserved example. On a wrecked carrier we found bits of canvas and a bunch of lift the dot fastners but that was it.

When you get this carrier please take some pictures of this canvas part and make up some plans.

Yes Jordan, I had a canvas one on my MKII. I guess the MKI must have been leather. Would be nice to get a copy made off of that one as it looks to be all there.
