Thirty years ago when I was getting my HUP on the road for the first time, per the normal I got last bits done the night before the first antique car show that I wanted to take it to. Of course in the rush I stuck the battery in and forgot to install the hold down bracket. New morning I headed out first turn I made heard an crackling arching sound right under me and started to smell something burning you guess it the battery had shifted and the cover had shorted on the post. Quickly stopped removed the cover, not much damage actually it had just burned the paint at the points of contact. Anyway stuffed a rag in as spacer on top of the posts and put the cover back on and head on to the show. When I got home I found the battery hold down and saw that it had tubes on the top to keep the cover from doing what it had just done. Cheers Phil

It'd look better with a quad Polsten behind it! Perhaps you might like to drive it up to BBBBBBBBBB (Boobee- how many Bs are in it anyway?!) this summer and drag the Polsten around to see if yer brakes are up to it!
Love those Gunner markings! You beek Way! ![]() ![]() ![]()
