Default Made It to Corowa

Hi All,Sunday night resting up from the best weekend i have ever spent with the nicest group of people you could meet.Yes the Chev was finished good enough to drive her to Corowa on the Friday,In total she did 650klms return trip and all trouble free.On the highway she sat on 90-95klms and the top speed was 105 klms but it felt like she was reving her head off.Total fuel usage was 160 liters which i felt wasn't too bad considering i havn't realy given her a good tune up.Next step is to sort out the tray and fairleads .oh and get some better seat so my bum doesn't burn after the first hour of cruising. Thanks again to all that made our weekend as good as it was we look foreward to getting to know you all better in the near future. John Stokes (Note my crazy neighbor)

Morn John

Well sounds like a great time was had by All, awesome !

the Blitz looks great, love these tires but I dunno about 105km/h that sounds spookey in a 67 year od truck

would love to see more pics of your ride and BTW those rear fenders look the part quite well, all you need now is a fifth wheel and you have a Blitz tractor

LOL

Default Rear mud guards

Hi terry, you are correct about the 105klm being scarey what if the transfer case flew apart? this did cross my mind she is more happy doing 85-95klm so am i.The rear guards are not staying they were put on for the trip up.The tray i am building will have guards built in.Will be posting more photos later on.John Stokes.

Default Rear Fair Leads

Hi All,
I have been a bit quiet on the restoration side because the rear fair leads have been keeping me occupied.Euen lent me a set of rear fair leads to duplicate, now i know why he didn't want to part with them.Any way almost there and if someone could let me know were the rollers painted or dipped in gal or something?Back in the shed after Monday cruise preparing for some olive paint and finishing off. John Stokes.
