Nice choice of words. I had to look it up:

Default Carrier 2137

Hi Robert - the only other manufacturing detail I have is the Carrier was made under contract no. MOV.1145. The first driver, an Army test driver, was Lance Corporal Ernest Entwhistle whilst his mother Dimitria, a Greek immigrant who married Throgmorton Entwhistle, had the maiden name of Giannopoulopouloppulus.

And let me guess... they're related to the Moseleys too.

Default Fugue

Sorry I'm a bit late with my own hijack here.

Following Keith's reply I found that the word 'fugue' I've heard of before means the same as your 'feuge', Bob. Just glad it wasn't a 'fug' you might have been in giving you problems.

Regards

Alex

The Reo owner has a Studebaker in another shed, I haven't photographed it yet, but he bought the Reo because he was told they are a rearer truck.

That is certainly true. There were never as many Reos around as there were Studebakers. If I had to take a wild guess I would say about 1 in 10, quite likely fewer than that even.

Default Are these trucks known?

A friend in Melbourne tells me that there are a couple of Blitzs in Elgin Street, Carlton between Rathdowne and Drummond Streets.
I have an idea they may have been mentioned on the forum. Can somebody confirm please?

They belong to Elgin Scrap Metals. I have seen them but they wouldn't let me photograph them (this was some time ago) One of them is a Canadian C15 but it has been re-engined with a Falcon motor. They are quite rough.
