well 12 days to go WOO HOO !!!! Rob has rebuilt the loose bits and will be putting the engine and cover back on the carrier, he will take some pics of it being loaded up so when i get them i will post them up. he tried for hours to free up the seized brake with a negative result so the tracks have had to come off, at least it will be easier to push around..........Iam on cloud nine just got to hope pirates dont knab the ship ! been thinking of colour schemes for ages now i want to keep it as per my grandads regiment in Persia / Italy but i just love the caunter pattern........ Kevin what scheme's you going for on your beasts ?

well Rob sent a few pics for me, more to come..... i keep spotting bits which i thought i would need so its always nice to see extra goodies.

still a load of bits to go back on, Rob could not get the break unstuck so the section of track has been removed as you can see. its nicer to see and know the tonne of silt has been blasted out of the tub so you can get a clearer view of the inner workings so to speak. keep saying to myself "GOD WHAT HAVE I TAKEN ON HERE" but she is not too bad really certainly nothing in comparison to the pair that Martyn is building from scratch.

cheers

Rich

Default Do the Dads come over from the play ground

Hi Richard

Noticed the playground in the back ground in your last couple of pictures. Have the DADs been coming over to see whats up on the restoration while the kids are playing on the jungle jim?

Keep up the good work and take lots of pictures as you go. I'd be lost on my restoration projects if I didn't take lots of pictures.

Cheers Phil

I would say by looking at the pictures, that the tracks are not to badly seized. they managed to remove some pins and tie the track up. More likely that the brakes have seized on, is why she didn't role? When do you expect delivery?

Not sure Ron, i think Kevin waited two to three weeks for his, so hoping the tanker does not get hijacked or sinks should be home for end may / early june perhaps ? i will break the tracks down into sections, free them up, media blast them then pop a coat of black paint on, then hopefully rebuild them into two lengths which will hopefully be straight and of equal length

on the last picures (left hand one rear shot) can anyone tell me what the little bracket type peices are on the rear fender ?
