Default Bud

Indeed, I have had the privilege of working with Bud several times in my career as he has done several voiceovers for programs I've made, most notably "Temora Warbirds".

Almost two years ago to the day in company with writer Roger Clarke I interviewed Bud at length about his war service. Bud had a connection with Canada as he did his service flying training at No1 SFTS Camp Borden on Harvards before heading to England and then the Middle East spending just on a year with 680 PR Squadron flying PR XI Spitfires and then Mosquito PR XVI. Bud completed some 75 missions.

During that time he also flew Blenheim and Baltimore aircraft, winding up with some 15 different types in his logbook.

At the end of the war he was back in Australia with 87 Squadron flying Beaufighters into storage for scrapping.

Bud was one of the nicest, most gentlemanly fellows you could ever hope to meet, and it is good and proper he is receiving worldwide recognition for his achievements.
