Sounds like the one on my truck (see attachment) which reads:

Canadian Top & Body Corp. Ltd.
Tilbury, Ontario, Canada
serial no. 42 03 2C1 7025
Last line denotes year - month - body type - serial number. It is important to get the "2C1" bit as this designates the body type.
