Boiler Steam (Aust) No2 type disinfector boiler on trailer.
Serial No 59 Date 1943 other markings are HB over S the D and D and Arrow over 418 This is still in working order owned by a little old ladie and was used by her and her husband in the Apery industry since just after the war. I belive it came out of far North Queensland. Has any one got any info on this type of trailer. At this stage she is looking for a new home and for it not to go to scrap.

Photo's of the said item would be nice to correctly ID it but here are two photos of a Laundry unit boiler on a trailer. I think there were smaller one's as well.

I must admit Cliff that my future son in law has me intrested too, so I will find the time to have a look. I would say that Bandiana is probly the place for it. I cant see any one towing it to Corowa.

The following information was posted on the MVCA forum this week. If anyone is interested in this unique trailer, contact Andrew ASAP as it sounds like it may be stripped of parts.
Hi, My old man has picked up a proper Army clothes steriliser boiler and autoclave trailer unit. It looks very complete, but a bit weathered. We are into steam so he intends to wreck it to get the boiler and associated steam valves off it. It weighs around 8 ton (dad and the crane guy guessed 4 ton!!) and is on a heavy twin axle trailer, with blitz style wheels. I am guessing it is from around WW2 or after. It has taken 2 crane lifts and a drop deck semi to get it home from the closed down apiarist's factory (used to soften honey for bottling). I imagine this is a very rare item to have survived, but also not the most sought after piece of equipment. If someone thinks they need this to complete their Military collection, let me know. Otherwise it will be scrapped. Contact me on Email: bluewills@hotmail.com Cheers, Andrew. |

Has anyone chased up this trailer? It would be a shame to let it go to the scrapper.
