Hello
Here's a photo of the staffcar belonging to Maj. Gen. A. Bruce Matthew, commander 2nd. Canadian Infantry Division. The photo was taken 18th. April 1945 outside Groningen townhall after the germans had surrendered, the General visited the Major of Groningen. I would like to know what kind of car this is. http://img94.imageshack.us/i/bruceu.jpg http://img94.imageshack.us/img94/1662/bruceu.th.jpg Cheers Ronald Last edited by RWDiesel; 24-10-09 at 17:28. see the link for more info
http://www.rmauctions.com/FeatureCar...rID=r119&fc=0# Sold August 2009 for $US71,500. So that's what the market thought one car was worth on that date. |

Hi I thought you might like to see a couple of civilian cars I used to have some years ago. The Humber had the wheel arches cut and widened four inches and the boot floor cut at an angle as per the army cars had done at the Briggs works. The picture with the Dutch number plate was after I sold the car.
Cheers Stan. |

Hello all,
I am afraid that I am terrible at car recognition . Could any of you more knowledgeable gents please tell me what this is? It was in use by the Royal Hellenic Air Force in 1940. The front end looks like an Opel Olympia but it has a split windscreen, the rear wings are different and the side-lights on the front wings are not Opel.I wish I could get those blokes out of the way .Thanks in advance Fyll |

This is a damaged Ford lost by the BEF together with unfortunate casualty.
It carries the markings of 2 Corps and would appear to have been allocated to a medium regiment; Royal Artillery. Screenshot_2021-03-01 Photobucket Scannen0003 jpg.jpg

Slightly off topic but the WW2 French Generals seemed very fond of big American cars , any one any photos?
