Hi Ledsel
Well, itīs still in the terrain. Hoping to get it this winter season, have been waiting for long now. Been searching for more UCīs since last time and found this. According to the owner there are some armor and engine covers somewhere lying around. A very good project with some pieces missing. Erik |

If Bovingtons did not get back to you, I am able to tell you your carrier was made by Ford Canada, she is in a batch of Universal carrier Mk1 of 1421 carriers made on contract number S/M1026 i cant date her for you though, but i have no doubt someone will.
hope this helps

Hi everyone
You have waited a long time for news about the recovery. Here is a fresch update. My friend with the BV 206 recovery weasel has sold it and now I have to find somebody else with a good recovery vehicule. The old farmer who lived at the remote farm is now deceased and one of the old tractors a Volvo BM 230 Victor has just recently been driven from there on the ice. It has been very cold up here and very little snow. Today itīs -39Celsius and the ice is about 30cm thick. This is good news and Iīm now planing more seriously for a recovery in late February or beginning of March. A close by resident has promised me to pack the iceroad before the recovery with his snowmobile, this will help alot and make the iceroad a lot better and stronger. Regards Erik |

Have you given any thought about getting a TV documentary outfit interested in the story of your recovery? Military Channel, Discovery Channel etc.... When I was working as part of the Military Attache team in Berlin I was involved in facilitating a segment of the bomb disposal technigues used during the reconstruction of Berlin. Proved to be a very interesting experience.

Erik,
I wish you the best with the recovery. As another final piece of advice, please re-read Rob Love's suggestion in Aug. 2007. Quote:
