Default C8-A Lub/Wiring plate location???

Can anyone help me out with the locations on a HUW of plates pictured here? Just found the wiring plate dated 45. Rough around the edges. Restoration tips on cleaning the wiring plate?

Default See pics of HU-ZL restoration here in Manitoba...

Prairie Command member Lorne Ertle just finishing a restoration for an owner in BC. Lorne does great work! He says the back map case is original, fantastic! Cheers Rob

Rob, I have snaps of those plates mounted on the inside front doors of a '45 HUP located 'elsewhere' in Manitoba - will post later tonight.

Default Door plates

Rob: Here are the photos of those plates on a couple of doors. I'm sure you know which truck and where this is. Note the vehicle data plate in an unusual spot - this is because the truck was converted to LHD and the original instrument panel mucked about.

Default Thanks Marc for the pics...

it's good to see that wiring plate on a right side door. I knew of the existance of that lube plate up north, but did not realize it was as faded as it looks in the pic. None the less, we wouldn't pass that one up! Cheers Rob

Default Wireing Plate Not On All Late HUPs

Rob and Mark

Do either of you know the logic behind which HUPs or HUWs got the wiring diagram or the lubrication plate? My HUP is a June 45 production batch and doesn't have either plate and there is no indication that there ever one or the other installed ie. no unused small screw holes.

Cheers Phil

Default The only confirmation I have on the lube plate location...

is we here at Prairie Command have seen a nice restorable HUP, not for sale, with the lube plate on the inside driver door. I believe that is one of Marc's pics. If the lube plate is there, why not and where might the wiring plate be placed? Yes, there are no mounting screw holes in my existing door. Just looking for input. Thanks Phil, cheers Rob.
